Grading… Not done.
Ah, the joys of November. Cooler weather, pie, and grading. Not necessarily in that order.
To my dear students, I promise I am working on grading. I’ve been plowing through notebooks a couple a day, but it’s slow going. The biggest downside of paperless grading is that I have to stop if I start to get a migraine, because of eyestrain. Never had that problem with hard copy grading, but hey - save the earth!
I expect Intro notebooks will be returned late this weekend, but it may be Monday after class if my Internet does not cooperate at home this weekend. Urban notebooks are next in line and will be back before Thanksgiving.
On another note, I’m really looking forward to senior seminar projects next week and imagine those will be a lot of fun to grade. That reminds me that I have to come up with a new rubric… I can’t do that right now because I have a faculty meeting to go to.
But first(!), I want to announce that John Jameson will be coming to speak on Heritage Tourism next Thursday at 7:30 in the Simons Center room 309. I hope to see some of you there!
Best - Prof. McStotts
